T Series is known for its devotional flair right from its inception. Now, T Series has been honoured with the music rights of devotional Hindi film on the miracles of Lord Ganesha,  Vignaharta Shree Siddhivinayak, taking this devotion to greater heights.The music release of the film took place at the Siddhi Vinayak temple, Prabhadevi on Sept 5 at 6.30pm.

Singers Tulsi Kumar, Shankar Mahadevan, Shilpa Pai, Ravindra Bijoor, Ajeet Kohli, producer Rajiv Singhvi,  Divya Dutta, Parmeet Sethi and Bappi Lahiri among others, graced the event.

“The film is for a cause. And to reiterate the presence of a power above us all that makes a difference  and brings peace to our soul. The genuineness of cause was important and the first music company that came to our mind when it was time for audio release is Gulshan Kumar’s T Series. And they welcomed us with open arms. We are equally proud of the association,” says Rajiv Sanghvi of Vistas Media Pvt Limited.

Interestingly, this is the first time in the history of the nation that the Siddhivinayak Temple Trust has actually produced a film on Siddhivinayak in joint venture with Vistas Media Pvt Limited. 

The film also includes  very popular aartis of Siddhivinayak Temple that have been sung by all main pujaris of Siddhivinayak Temple in this film  besides having the voices of eminent vocalists, Shankar Mahadevan, Tulsi Kumar, Shilpa Pai , Ravindra Bijoor, Ravindra Sakhi, the music is by Anil Mohile, Rajesh Johri has given the lyrics and Yashwant Ingavle is the director.

Currently, the Vignaharta Shree Siddhivinayak audios and CDs  will be available at all leading stores for Rs 50 for CDs and Cassette Rs 35 for audio cassettes, keeping in mind that the music is for all classes of Siddhivinayak devotees alike. Here is an Interview held with Mr . Irfan Siddiqui  student of IIPM followed as below:-

Your song Mar jaava from Fashion has become popular. But there was no situation in the real sense. Is such a song easier or more difficult to write than a situational number?

It’s both in different ways. I gave them several options for the mukhda. Salim and I worked hard on something that would have an identity of its own and get audience attention because the sequence was going to be so strong visually that no one would be really interested in the song playing in the background. And we have succeeded.

I believe you were a model yourself in college. Did Madhur Bhandarkar, who directed Fashion, know about this?

No. Apart from walking the ramp, I had even choreographed some shows in my college. That was another of my interests. But I could not grow there.

But for someone who has no contacts or mentors within the industry you have made good progress.

I guess I have been lucky, though I have a long way to go. Choreographer Rajiv Goswami and I have been childhood buddies and we would jam and make songs together. I wrote all the songs except Mujhe mere yaar se in his debut album and Salim-Sulaiman arranged it. That’s how I got to know the duo and they called me for Ashayein in Iqbal. Apart from their films Fashion and Chain Kulii Ke Main Kulii I have worked with them in Karo ya maro, the IPL song for the SetMax channel, the first IPL anthem Dil pe le liya, the finale song of Voice Of India and the lead track of Shrradha Pandit’s album Teri Heer. I also wrote the title-track of Rafoo Chakkar – Fun On The Run and about 20 songs for the Hindi dubbed versions of High School Musical and High School Musical 2.

Which are your films to come?

I am writing for Karan Johar’s Rensil D’Silva-directed film starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor and all the songs for his Kootchie Kootchie Hota Hai directed by Tarun Mansukhani. I am doing Ken Ghosh’s film with Shahid Kapoor, a song in Mumbai Chakachak that will probably be composed by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Teen Patti with Amitabh Bachchan directed by Leena Yadav, the video made by Sony for the Indian Idol finalists and also the dubbed Hindi songs for Walt Disney Productions’ Camp Rock.

What do you feel about the excessive use of Punjabi and English in today’s songs?

I would not like to follow this trend for the heck of it. Look at Anand Bakshisaab and Gulzarsaab who used Punjabi in a very classy way – I would like to emulate that. I want to make a mark with good songs like Ashayein, which is still loved. Today there are lots of hit songs, but few that really make a mark or have a shelf-life. Genuine gaane hi chal jaate hain and I too would not like to compromise because I give that 101 per cent to each song.

Nelly Furtado is one of the most dynamic stars in pop music today. Eaton and West helped Furtado produce her debut album “Whoa Nelly!” The album was released in October of 2000 to rave reviews. The hit single “I’m Like a Bird” eventually won Furtado her first Grammy award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Additional hits from the album were “Turn Off the Light” and “On the Radio (Remember the Days). The Nelly Furtado video for the former showcased her multicultural background.

The album was critically acclaimed for her unique musical style and fresh approach to pop music. Her cultural background gave the album a unique mix of genres and sounds. Furtado is of Portuguese descent and speaks Spanish, Portuguese and Hindi.

Her second album, “Folklore”, was released in November of 2003 shortly after the birth of her daughter, Nevis. Due to poor promotion by the label, the album was less successful than her first album. In 2006, Furtado’s third and most successful album to date was released. “Loose” was primarily produced by the hip hop producer Timbaland which is evident in the album’s hip hop and R&B sound. Although many of her old fans rejected Furtado’s new direction, the album produced number one hits across the globe. The singles “Promiscuous”, “Maneater”, “Say It Right” and “All Good Things (Come to an End)” topped charts in many different countries due to Nelly Furtado videos and radio play.

In addition to singing, Furtado has recently added acting to her list of skills. She made her debut in the 2006 movie “Nobody’s Hero” and had a role in 2008′s “Max Payne” movie. She has also appeared on television in the shows CSI: New York and Roswell.

Even though many of the lyrics on her album “Loose” are sexually suggestive, Furtado has repeatedly rejected attempts by outside influences to oversexualize her image. She turned down $500,000 that was offered to her by Playboy to use Nelly Furtado pictures. She refuses to pose in **** outfits for magazines, and was very upset when a men’s magazine digitally removed portions of her outfit so it appeared more revealing.

Furtado plans to release her fourth album between May and August of 2009. She will be recording songs in English and Spanish for the new record. She will also be recording an entire album in Spanish and an additional album in Portuguese.

It was, in the year, 1980 that he first got into song record collection, whereby, he remembers purchasing his music record player and thereafter since , 1983, intoc cassette collection and 2003 onwards into VCD collection. Of the rarest of the songs, in Uday’s collection is the solo song of the great master, Mohd.Rafi, from the film Hamara Sansar, with music by Pandit Govind Ram and to the lyrics of lyricisit Ramesh Gupta, which goes like: Aye Dile Nagam Ab Jeene Ki Tamanha.. which was gifted to Uday by a dearest friends. Most of my collection, is self owned, while the rest come to me as gift from music connoseius and friends alike. So is Uday also a member of Conossieurs club, where some 40 to 50 like minded friends meet twice a month to discuss on film,culture,music and things alike. When asked about his personal music favorites, Uday, is a hesitant one to talk on that, as it is difficult to choice from a great talented lot, but then he says: Pandit Husanlal Bhagatram, Naushad Saab, Gulam Haider are some of my personal bests, says he, when he signs off, get a bit music himself humming some of their golden melodies.
