Aarti is a Hindu ritual, a short prayer or eulogy sung in the reverence of a deity,
in which light from wicks soaked in purified butter or camphor is offered to one or more deities. Aarti’s also refer to the songs sung in praise of the deity, when offering of lamps is being offered. This is a kind of short religious ceremony in which a prayer is sung and lighted lamps are used to worship a God.
